Back to Prison

Ppphhhhhh

Returning to school once again (not prison, although it can be quite similar sometimes :P)

But this time i have a real reason to actually dread it. This term sees the start of my exams, not piddly, little exams but big, important ones.

And the first one?

Music Listening - Next Wednesday.

So there you go. I do have a right to moan about going back hehe.
Not only do i have that next week but this week is full as well.
I did an (unseen) english essay today which thankfully went quite well i think but part 2 is tomorrow.
Also, i have a biology test on Thursday and a spanish and media test on friday so my only testless day is Wednesday....

However, i don't feel overly stressed surprisingly, although i know that will change in the coming weeks. It's inevitable really.

So today was actually quite a strange day. There were quite a few teachers not in due to being stuck abroad.
This whole Iceland volcano ash thing.
My maths teacher wasnt in so i didn't get to finish the test i started before the holidays. Ho hum.

The guy i sit beside in biology, who is Chinese, went to Hong Kong over the holidays and promised to bring me back Hong Kong mentos, which he did, i forgot about it to be honest so it was a nice surprise. Although the packaging is exactly the same, he gave me the receipt which was in....Hong Kongenese?
Lol, i dunno but it was cool he got them (im sucking on them right now :P)
We always share our mentos in biology, i dunno why, its just a thing we have lol.

The lunch time discussion at our table was rather interesting. It involved an incident that happened on Saturday which i wont go into too much detail about.
Basically, i went to play footbll with some friends, lost money, it then got found and nobody believed it was mine so i never got it back, it was instead spent on somebody elses MacDonalds.

So that was the topic of conversation at lunch but i couldn't really care. It was only 5 pounds (although i was quite pissed off at the time)  but its not as if i will never have another 5 pounds again, a few people were insistent upon talking about it so i just tried to blank them and talk to Alan, who actually was really nice to me on Saturday.
After it all kicked off i decided i didn't want to waste my time with those "friends" who wouldnt believe the money was mine so i went home.
I went on the Xbox and a few hours later Alan appeared and asked me if i was ok which was really sweet of him.
He's the only one of the dozen or so people there who asked me.

Anyhoo, it wasn't a super first day back (wasnt ever going to be) but when i got home something really cheered me up.
Over the weekend i was looking at this app on the iPod called Remote which simply allows you to connect your iPod to your iTunes through wi-fi but i couldn't get it working.
But when i got home i tried downloading and installing a different "cracked" app (forgive me, im broke :P)
and i got it working :D
So i'll post below one of the songs on the album im listening to right now.

Lastly, i just wanted to say about how my postings might work for the next while. Don't be worry, i know JJ and my cousin Lauren have said they may be posting less often for the next while while but im not gonna tell you im doing the same.
I'm not gonna stick to a routine of posts or say i'll only post once a week or something coz i probably wouldn't end up sticking to it. If there's stuff to talk about, i'll talk about it!
So really, just in case i do get too busy for the next month and a bit, i apologise for a potential lack of posts, athough i will try my best not to let that happen. I love blogging and talking to people on here and i am not gonna let crappy school stand in the way of that.
School is gonna be a lot tougher from here on in but i think that as long as i have support and encouragement (which i cant thank you guys enough for already!) i can get through this successfully, which is why i will try my best to post as i normally do :)

Cheers guys,
Rowan

Right so, i was going to post a song off the album im listening to right now (Metallica's Master of Puppets) but there is a much more fitting song for this post that i just need to use so here's some Pink Floyd.

Bet you're happy i posted that instead of Metallica! lol

  3. Good luck on the month of hell! Don't worry, I have faith you will do just fine. That sucks about losing the money, and that no one believed that it was yours. That was really nice of Alan to come ask if you were ok. Although a little surprising. You gotta love those positive surprises though.

Hong Kong mentos? Sounds...interesting. Do they taste the same? And again, one of those pleasant surprises you weren't expecting. Don't worry about lack of posts, we will survive. We all know you have to study and prepare for the exams, and I know at least me, and probably everyone else, would be mad at you for neglecting your studies just to post something for us. But if something interesting does happen, we would all love to know! Take care of number one, and talk to us later.

Good luck with everything to come and take care of yourself.

P.S. I would have preferred the Metallica song over Pink Floyd, but that's just because Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 1, 2, and 3 have all been overplayed and killed for me. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Floyd, but those songs just don't do it for me anymore. And I'm glad you were listening to old Metallica instead of new Metallica. I can't stand St. Anger, and Death Magnetic wasn't a whole lot better. You get points in my book.

  4. Good luck in your exams, Rowan... Loved the song, too, Pink Floyd is one of my all time favorite bands... Hong Kong mentos? Interesting... I get Japanese kitkat bars all the time, because they have flavors over there that aren't anywhere else (like green tea, cherryblossom, and apple, rather than chocolate... not a big fan of chocolate, honestly)... Sounds like not too bad of a day, though, but I'm sorry the conversation turned back around to that money. I was hoping it'd be over last weekend. Alas...

    Love, always!

  5. Rowan Great bit of interaction with Alan and your chinese friend.
Love todays music treat - outside the Beatles you can never go wrong with Pink Floyd.
Good luck with school - you'll knock them out.

  6. Shame about the fiver..., a good friend would've at least heard you out on the subject. But these things do happen, and as annoying as it is, you seem to be handling it well. At least Alan was there for you.

Study is more important for you right now, if you post then cool, if not, then I well understand. Good luck chap, I wish you all the best.

    Hugs, Courage and Honour!
