French Exam

So my French exam was today and i would love to say it passed without incident but it didnt.

The first part was grand. Reading a passage and answering questions went well. The directed writing is usually where im a bit iffy. Basically, you're given a situation and you have to write about it. That went well, too, however.

We had a break and the second part - the listening and short essay - is where things went a bit skiwif.

We were given a pink sheet of paper with the questions on and a white sheet (presumably) for the answers.
You see, i wasn't sure whether the answers went on the white sheet or not and by the time i'd tried to figure it out, the first playthrough of the cd has finished, leaving me having jotted down a few bare points.

I checked the front of the page and it says answers went on the pink sheet which was confusing as others around me seemed to be writing on the white sheet and it honestly would have made more sense to do it there.

Anyhoo, that meant i only got one playthrough to gather all my answers and the previous kerfuffle just threw me so i couldn't concentrate properly. If i get half marks for the thing i'll be a lucky boy. The short essay afterwards seemed ok.

But the confusion surrounding the listening was enough to through me and im not good at listening most of the time so that was rather unfortunate. Others said it was tough which made me feel a bit better but at least they could hear it twice.

On reflection, it shouldn't matter greatly coz the listening is only 20% of the full thing. The reading and directed writing is 45 which im confident i got a high score in. The short essay is another ten marks so id say at least 8 there. The oral exam back in March is 15 and i already know i got full marks. I might lose 10/15 from the listening but an A is about 70% so odds are i can still get it. But we'll see. Still annoyed at the listening today.

But here's the juicy news: i'm currently sitting in my room, unattended, with Bryan's ipod.
The reason i've got it because he put it in my locker with my ipod and phone before the exam so there was no chance of it going off in the classroom and potentially getting disqualified. After the exam he went home without remembering and he was gone by the time i went back to my locker.
Obviously i've trawled and trawled it (coz i'm such an awful human being) but the truth lies in plain sight and it's the truth i've known for a few months now.

There was a suggestion after my sneak preview a few months ago that maybe Bryan had deleted anything incriminating, knowing in advance he'd be at my house. Well, there was no way he could know he would leave it in my locker today and his history etc. is pretty much what it was last time.

The only hints at anything else are a few stupid Omegle chats but lets be honest; anyone who goes on that site just does it to fuck around when they're bored as hell. The word "gay" doesn't even return any results on a full ipod scan and "bi" just directs to pointless Omegle conversations.

I've even looked through photos and everything i wasn't able to last time. I know its wrong, i know its his privacy i've invaded, i know its dishonest and i know i wouldn't like it if anyone looked through my ipod. I feel like a terrible friend :(
I just hope he isn't too suspicious of me when i give it back to him, but naturally im sure he will be. Anyone would.
Anyway, i guess you've probably had enough of me rattling on about Bryan so i'll leave it there - trust me, i could go on.

Depressing post is depressing, but at least French will probably be ok.

Back to Prison

Ppphhhhhh

Returning to school once again (not prison, although it can be quite similar sometimes :P)

But this time i have a real reason to actually dread it. This term sees the start of my exams, not piddly, little exams but big, important ones.

And the first one?

Music Listening - Next Wednesday.

So there you go. I do have a right to moan about going back hehe.
Not only do i have that next week but this week is full as well.
I did an (unseen) english essay today which thankfully went quite well i think but part 2 is tomorrow.
Also, i have a biology test on Thursday and a spanish and media test on friday so my only testless day is Wednesday....

However, i don't feel overly stressed surprisingly, although i know that will change in the coming weeks. It's inevitable really.

So today was actually quite a strange day. There were quite a few teachers not in due to being stuck abroad.
This whole Iceland volcano ash thing.
My maths teacher wasnt in so i didn't get to finish the test i started before the holidays. Ho hum.

The guy i sit beside in biology, who is Chinese, went to Hong Kong over the holidays and promised to bring me back Hong Kong mentos, which he did, i forgot about it to be honest so it was a nice surprise. Although the packaging is exactly the same, he gave me the receipt which was in....Hong Kongenese?
Lol, i dunno but it was cool he got them (im sucking on them right now :P)
We always share our mentos in biology, i dunno why, its just a thing we have lol.

The lunch time discussion at our table was rather interesting. It involved an incident that happened on Saturday which i wont go into too much detail about.
Basically, i went to play footbll with some friends, lost money, it then got found and nobody believed it was mine so i never got it back, it was instead spent on somebody elses MacDonalds.

So that was the topic of conversation at lunch but i couldn't really care. It was only 5 pounds (although i was quite pissed off at the time)  but its not as if i will never have another 5 pounds again, a few people were insistent upon talking about it so i just tried to blank them and talk to Alan, who actually was really nice to me on Saturday.
After it all kicked off i decided i didn't want to waste my time with those "friends" who wouldnt believe the money was mine so i went home.
I went on the Xbox and a few hours later Alan appeared and asked me if i was ok which was really sweet of him.
He's the only one of the dozen or so people there who asked me.

Anyhoo, it wasn't a super first day back (wasnt ever going to be) but when i got home something really cheered me up.
Over the weekend i was looking at this app on the iPod called Remote which simply allows you to connect your iPod to your iTunes through wi-fi but i couldn't get it working.
But when i got home i tried downloading and installing a different "cracked" app (forgive me, im broke :P)
and i got it working :D
So i'll post below one of the songs on the album im listening to right now.

Lastly, i just wanted to say about how my postings might work for the next while. Don't be worry, i know JJ and my cousin Lauren have said they may be posting less often for the next while while but im not gonna tell you im doing the same.
I'm not gonna stick to a routine of posts or say i'll only post once a week or something coz i probably wouldn't end up sticking to it. If there's stuff to talk about, i'll talk about it!
So really, just in case i do get too busy for the next month and a bit, i apologise for a potential lack of posts, athough i will try my best not to let that happen. I love blogging and talking to people on here and i am not gonna let crappy school stand in the way of that.
School is gonna be a lot tougher from here on in but i think that as long as i have support and encouragement (which i cant thank you guys enough for already!) i can get through this successfully, which is why i will try my best to post as i normally do :)

Cheers guys,
Rowan

Right so, i was going to post a song off the album im listening to right now (Metallica's Master of Puppets) but there is a much more fitting song for this post that i just need to use so here's some Pink Floyd.

Bet you're happy i posted that instead of Metallica! lol

Past couple o' days

Sorry, i haven't posted since Friday i think it was...

I've been getting my new room squared up :)

That's right...new room!!!

We actually went ahead with it, it took most of Sunday but here we are now.
Fair play to my mum lol.

The room isn't exactly how i want it at the moment but i think it will be tweaked a little at the weekend.

The past couple of days are a complete contrast to how i was feeling on my last post.
I feel a like i have a lot more space now.

It's not just the room that's done that for me but...

*drum roll*

I bought Steven's "old" ipod touch off him :D
He got an iphone for Christmas and offered me his for just 70 quid.
I didn't give him the full 70, but 20 and i'll pay him fully as i gradually get more money, coz i don't really get much.
But he's fine with it and said i can take my time over it.

That's what strange with him.
One second he can be the biggest bigot, homophobe whatever and the next he is all nice and friendly and loyal....
Strange one.

Anyway, i am now free to browse the web as i want.
Just a simple delete history, cache and cookies in Safari on the ipod and it's wiped.
Unlike the computer here where it gets stored in Temp Files or whatever.

So....porn at any time of the day! :P

But i won't blog from it, that would be a pain, i'll blog with a proper keyboard. ;)

The past couple of days then, in school.

Quite busy.
Loads of preparation for Prelims (beginning on the 25th)

Got practice writing prelims as well in French and Spanish.
French on Friday, Spanish on Monday.

Spanish is a toughy.
Speaking exam tomorrow but i know it pretty well.
And then for celebration....Wolfmother!!! Yay!!!

I have to wait until 1:20pm tho, so i'll be a nervous wreak by then lol.
But it should be alright.

So, trying to do the french writing practice will be rather meh but i'll use the Spanish exam as an excuse. And to be fair, it is fairly valid.

But the homework is piling up.

According to my guidance teacher we should be doing 3 hours during the week and 5 at the weekend.
I'm sorry, but i need a life and he's an arse.

I probably do about half of that and it's sufficient enough i would say.
I'm not failing anything so there we are.

Also, i attended my first Supported Study class today.
It's like an after school class thing.
But unlike most where it's optional this one was mandatory.

And what subject was it?

Yep, Spanish :P

I didn't go to last weeks class so she demanded i go to this one.

Bah, i don't like her but she does get results out of you

Thanks for all your comments on my last post.
And just to answer one question that has been asked - My brother is 13.

I'm sorry but a lot of 13 year olds are idiots.

I would certainly say i was.
I was just a moody brat a few years ago and my brother seems like that most of the time.

Anyway, as i said, a lot 13 year olds are. Not all.
Quite a number are very mature but with my brother around i don't see it.

Lastly,
I watched a very interesting "movie" recently.

It's a short Northern Irish film called James. It's about a 12/13 year old dealing with his sexuality and it's only 17 mins long so if you're interested check it out.

http://www.btn101.com/video/3882/James

BTW, when i watched it, i found it to be out of sync a little but it's nothing major.

Actually, that wasn't the last thing i was going to talk about.
Speaking of Northern Ireland i thought i would mention Iris Robinson.

The mad woman.

I was listening to a radio programme speaking about the whole controversy and whether or ot we should have sympathy for her.

I don't.

She's in deep therapy or something now.
But she got what was coming to her in my opinion.

She's such a hypocrite.

Firstly, she condemns homosexuality saying "The bible condemns it and it is an abomination"
Then she goes and has an affair....which is also condemned in the bible.

I have no sympathy for her whatsoever, she should learn to keep her big trap shut. The loony.

Anyhoo, i'll post again probably on Friday and let you know about Spanish, the concert etc.

Cheers everyone,
Rowan
