Past few days

the past few days have been fairly average to be honest

Monday was a holiday, for some reason, so i met up with a few friends and we just had a laugh

Tuesday was back to school, which i was dreading.
The day was fairly average to be honest apart from one thing that i feel i must mention

It's about my guidance/support teacher lol (he's a tool)
Once a week, on Tuesday mornings we have one fifty minute "lesson" with him (all classes do with their respective guidance teachers)
The blazer is not part of the dress-code in our school, but he seems to think it is so he enforces it
if you show up to his class without a blazer (which is maroon btw) then he wants to know why.
The simple answer : they cost about 60 or 70 pounds.
I refuse to wear it (as do many others) and even my mum backs me up on this one!
She said "why should i go and spend that amount of money on something that is only going to be worn for 50 minutes each week?" to my teacher over the phone.
I was so proud of her that day lol
So anyhoo, when i show up nowadays i don't need to be questioned about why i don't have a blazer........thanks mum :D

So that's about it for Tuesday,
Today was good fun....
Spanish wasn't
P.E wasn't
RE wasn't
Maths wasn't.....

but Enlgish and Media Studies saved the day!
You may not think that having to do a timed essay is good, but i was sooo happy that i managed to get it finished in the given time ; it was our first timed essay and i seriously didn't think i would finish it, how wrong i was. I even had 5 minutes to go back and look over it again!
Media Studies was the fun part
My kind-of friend sits beside me (we used to be best friends, but he hangs out with other people now.) and over the weekend he became a youtube hit! In our school anyway.
For the wrong reasons but it was a laugh anyway.
There's a video of him (sorry i won't post the link) lying on the ground failing to stand up coz he's drunk. When he does he just staggers around and collapses. I didn't find it funny at the time of watching but the whole class made good light of it today and he was extremely embarrased, while the teacher had no idea what everyone was joking about, lol. Good times......
(btw, i don't drink just in case you were wondering)

It is my first Music Prelim on Monday in which i will be performing on bass guitar, (which i like to think i'm good at coz i do play it outwith school.) The songs we have to perform to are just backing tracks which are easy enough to play but of course i'm not looking forward to it.

Prelims, if you didn't know, are like mini exams, to give you a taste of what the final exam will be like and to give a final guide to the teacher of how the pupil is performing. So it's quite a big deal.

Bass should be easy for me, but you need to perform on two instruments. My other is guitar, which i am not as good at, but thank god that isn't happening until near the end of October!!! I'm actually rather confused why the Music Prelim is so early because all other subjects are in January and February :S
Oh well, just have to grin and bear it.

I will let you know how the English and Music results go, but i'm sure i will post again before then.

So from a fairly content Rowan, cheers and see ya later!

A Rent-Boy Named....

Hi anyone and everyone,

just a short post to mention this fantatsic story

It is called "A Rent-Boy Named..." it's about a 14 year old boy named James who is homeless on the streets of LA in 1969/1970. I was lucky enough to come across it in February and have been reading non-stop. It is updated fairly frequently as well, and has a lovely bunch of people who post comments etc.

The book should honestly be published but today's society can't deal with real-life situations so it is unlikely that it will be soon. The author's name is Tristan Strangebrew and he is just so good at what he does (although i doubt that is his real name lol). So i reccomend this story to anyone who is interested.

It's on Wordpress btw,
http://www.arentboynamed.wordpress.com/

so there it is, enjoy it coz it is brilliant!

Cheers,
Rowan

No Rest for the Wicked, School bus epic tale.

Well, last week was a VERY tough week, in which i did not have time to post anything
Actually thats not the whole truth but i felt it more suitable to let this week build up before i posted. I was a bit too side-tracked by other things, which are covered in this post.

So,
I had loads of tests (and results) this week, which did actually go rather well :)
Firstly i had a Spanish writing test on Monday which i don't have results for yet
I then had Spanish speaking on Wednesday in which i got full marks!
Same with a French test on Thursday
and i got Biology test results back in which i passed but not very convincingly (lowest in the class :( but i didn't study for it so i hold myself responsible) but still i passed without studying so fair dues.
I won't have the opportunity to relax yet tho, i have my first English times essay on Wednesday, but we are allowed notes for it, so i will have to study for that

Right, now down to the more interesting stuff
On Tuesday on the way back home from school, (i get the bus) my friend Andrew brought chalk onto the bus, why i don't know, but it happened.
And so, there was a group of about five of us messing around with it, drawing on each other, you know, harmless fun......until people started drawing on seats. Everyone got carried away and was drawing certain genitalia on the seats, immaturely, so was i.....big mistake.

Next morning the driver asked who was drawing what as he obviously seen the damage. Needless to say, nobody owned up, so he took it to the school.
On the way home that night, we all discussed that we won't name people as we expected to be questioned the next day.

So Thursday, i was ill.......... No i actually was, i wish i wasn't coz two bastards blamed it on me so it looked like i was avoiding getting into trouble.

Friday brought intense nervousness as i knew that a certain Head of Year would be looking for me. He cornered me last period and i told my version of events (admitting that i did draw on seats, but other people were as well) This went down like crap in a swimming pool. He wasn't sure who to believe, so the two that blamed it on me and myself got into severe trouble. I'm not in trouble a lot with my Head of Year, so he didn't ban me from the bus but he did with the other two. After school, i decided it would be best not to get on that bus, so i walked.

Anyhoo, it must be said that i'm not looking forward to going back to school on Tuesday, (not Monday, because of some holiday :D) but next week is not something to look forward to.

In better news, i was still fit enough to play football with some mates today which was fun, i haven't played footy in ages, so i'm quite worn out.

And finally, i received my first follower!
playfull_boy
thank you very much!
i also recieved my firsty comment from Chris Bright........so thank you if you're reading this.

phew! thats about all for now after what seems like quite an epic post
I will try to update more often but felt it more appropriate to let things build up this time......

Cheers,
Rowan

Some Background Info

well thought i would give some background info to whoever may be reading this :P

i have been debating whether to make a blog for a while now and i few days ago i went, oh what the hell i might as well.
Even if people don't read it i feel it is good to jot down thoughts and reflect on the past couple of days and major events that have been happening.....

of course, my first name is Rowan and my surname begins with a "D" but i won't give it all away
i am 15 and i am bisexual (oooooohhhhhh)

Nobody knows i am bisexual, but i have a feeling that one of my good friends has some suspicion over me. Matter of fact, i have come close on a few occasions to telling him. I don't think he would actually have a problem with it if i did tell him, but of course it would still take a lot of courage for me to tell him. Courage i don't have at the moment.

With regards to a lot of my other friends, they are good guys, funny as well, but if they knew then i don't think they would handle it too well. (they are somewhat homophobic)

As with my parents, they often crack gay jokes themselves and things like that, i think if i told them there would be an awkward period of time for a while, but then things would settle off. Of course, i could be wrong so as it stands i'm in the closet to them and everyone else.

I have known i was not "normal" (haha) for a few years now, since i was maybe 11 or 12, i knew i wasn't like other boys. But when i was about 14, i realised my sexuality and am comfortable with it now, after a while of battling with myself, trying to convince myself i wasn't "different"

I have an Xbox and i play it for maybe an hour or so a night, depends really. I suppose my favourite games are Rock Band/Guitar Hero, Gears of War and GTA.

As far as music is concerned i like rock mostly, bands like The Killers, Foo Fighters, Kaiser Chiefs......Green Day. I hate pop music, you know, the stuff that's constantly in the charts......god it's awful, although The Killers appear now and again :)

Anyhoo, there's not much else to say right now, so yeh.......

Rowan

A Place to Call My Own

this post is basically why i made a blogger account in the first place :

1) where i live is very homophobic - i love all my friends but sometimes the comments they make about gays, bi's, lesbians etc. really gets on my nerves (of course, i'm not outed to anyone) So i created this so i can have somewhere to get away from all that

2) i love talking to other people - i love meeting and chatting to people and i want to get to know some more gay/bi people, as i know hardly any in my school, so feel free to add me - lets-start-over@hotmail.com ;)

i thought this post might be longer than it was but apparently not, above are my two main reasons for making a blogger account + my email addy, so don't hesitate if you wanna chat :D

cheers,
Rowan
