Par contre, l'examen de maths....was n0t v3ry easy.

Well to start with, at least it's over.

It was tough.

We had two parts to do. Paper 1 - non calculator and paper 2 - calculator.

Paper 1 was only 45 minutes, i finished it in enough time but some of the questions were pretty difficult, for me anyway.
After it, at the break, i congregated with a group of friends and discussed it, loads of them said it was ok but i didn't think so.

And the calculator paper....
Well, the first page was ok, answered the first 2 or 3 questions, got some marks under my belt. Then i turned the page and just wanted to cry.
What awaited me was a double page full of the most pressing and complicated....stuff i have ever seen. There were still two other pages after that as well, but i didn't look at them, i had enough to contend with.
Paper 2 lasts an hour and half, and for good reason, i needed all of it.
Which is funny coz i do recall agreeing with Louis that 90 minutes was too much (shut up Rowan)

Anyway, i slogged through the next dozen or so questions and only just got the paper finished.
Now remember, this is after all the extra classes i went to. I don't want to imagine what might have happened if i didn't go.
The extremely warm and stuffy room didn't help matters, it's been very humid lately.
Here i go complaining about humidity lol but i'm sure it affected most pupils sitting an exam today, and also, like most curious pupils who sit exams, i made a rough guess at what my score might have been. Few marks above a pass is what i predicted but who knows?
Will find out on the dreaded August 4th.

But if this is how difficult i found maths, biology on Thursday is going to be hell.
I held some hope with maths and i might have passed but with biology, i do not hold much hope.

This is where things are going to get quite stressing now, 3 exams in 3 days next week and the maths today just upped the game.
Maybe it's balancing out now coz of how easy and care-free french was on Tuesday.

I want a break but i can't really afford one....

Hugs,
Rowan

  1. Hello Rowan
Maths is an odd subject, somehow. My wife, who's an intelligent and educated woman, a psychiatric nurse with letters after her name, struggles with maths that my daughter was doing a couple of years ago in primary school. I hope you've done enough to pass, and, as you said, at least it's over.

    Love & best wishes

  2. Well you got through it, and that's what matters. Though it was hard, you seem confident about a few things, and I'm sure you passed. Those classes helped after all.

Hang in there Rowan, Biology may be hard too, but you're a smart individual and unlike math which is application of knowledge, your biology test is going to focus more on memorization, rather than applying that to real world "problems" to so speak. That right there makes it an easier test.

    Love, always!

  4. I hope you passed it a lot better then you think you did. I think you just worried about it because you had a problem and it probably better then you think. You see when you get it back. I just finished my last Test today for this year. I will get my grades back next week and we have fun classes next week. We will watch a lot of movies and have fun. No more studies or tests. Skip day is on Wednesday and then practice for graduation on Thursday and we are done Friday for the summer. Love you, Hugs JJ

  5. I'm sure you did fine on the math test, but we'll have to wait and see. At least you can see the benefit of the extra classes. Good luck with all the exams next week too and let us know how they go. At least it's the weekend, so you can take a mild break, maybe just one day.

  8. Rowan,
I like your positive attitude, "Well to start with, at least it's over."

    That'll carry you through.

And you really needed JJ to tell you he was almost finished with exams - and the year! What do they get? 3 months holidays? Those Yanks hardly do any school! he-he

    Go frit

  9. Dont worry so much. As long as you finish, your results would be fine.
Be careful on the biology test. Biology is treacherous(actually, all sciences are). Try top remember all the stages and the main changes.
