Guitar Exam

Hey guys, just a quick post to let you know that the guitar exam today went well.

It wasn't as plain sailing as the bass exam but i can't complain, i never expected it to be.

Just like the bass setup, i played one song all the way through, which went without any glitches.
Then play my two other pieces about halfway through.
First one was fine, on the 2nd one i made a few errors although it's pretty much the only errors i made in both of the exams so i don't think there's anything to worry about.

I wish i could say that i had results for you but.....they won't come back until August, when i get all my exam results in the one go.
These two practical exams count towards our final mark which is why we don't get them back yet.

Apart from that, today was the usual Thursday, tough and tiring and i even forgot to bring my guitar home after school *facepalm*
But it's safe is the music store so i can get it tomorrow :P

Cheers,
Rowan

Here is a song i'm currently learning on guitar, it is one of my favourite songs by Wolfmother and is called Tales, or by it's full name, Tales From the Forest of Gnomes.

From what i can gather it's about forgetting all of your regrets, just putting all the bad stuff behind you and looking ahead to the future.....
It's a real feel good song anyway, and never fails to cheer me up :)

And here's a pic of my guitar.

Split Into Two...

This week is split into two halves for me. One busy and one quiet.

This is the quiet side.

Tomorrow afternoon starts the busy side.

Yesterday and today haven't seen much happening apart from one thing really....I managed to speak to Freddie.

I caught him at the end of maths as we were packing our stuff back into our bags.

Don't get carried away tho, i hardly know him so there was no big conversation but the best way to start things was to just smile and say "Hi" which i did.
He said "Hi" back and then i asked him how he was doing and he simply said "it's ok"

Then the bell rang and off he went.

It's obvious that he really doesn't want to speak about anything but maybe just by saying hi and being friendly i might earn his trust a little and maybe there may be more to speak of in the future.
At least there's no fresh bullying news against him at the moment.....

Elsewhere, this week, one blogger who i hold in quite high regard has returned, if you like.
James on "The Everday Life and Thoughts of a Fabulous Teen" had seemingly disappeared for about 4 months, so i was really pleased to see two new posts by him, it seems like he has been playing his xbox a lot recently....

The reason i hold him in high regard is for the fact that his blog is the first one i ever read, it gripped me and made me want to do something like it, henceforth, i started my blog.
So, if you get the time, have a little nosey, i'm sure he won't mind :P

As i said, that's all that has been happening this side of the week, tomorrow is where it kicks off.

In biology today, my teacher recommended i attend supported study tomorrow after school, which basically means, you will be attending supported study tomorrow.

What fun.

So i have that tomorrow. then my guitar exam on Thursday, like the prelim, i dont not feel as confident as i do on the bass but oh well.

On Friday i have two tests, one in media and one in french.....great.

And Saturday sees my first weekend maths class.

Getting up at 7am on a Saturday just wont be right and i wont even be able to stay up late on friday due to that.
I also found it annoying today that our head of year got angry about the attendance of maths supported study.
He asked me why i didn't go and i told him that if i am going to a 3 hour class on saturday morning then i shouldnt have to go to supported study.

Of course, he disagreed but i'm sorry, no matter what he says i'm not going after school, especially as i'm giving up my saturday for him (he will be one of the teachers there on Saturday.)

Unfortunately, there isn't much to look forward to this week, just gonna have to grin and BEAR.....(?) it.

Love you guys,
Rowan

P.S I was sorta half-singing a Muse song today at the end of english and the guy that sits next to me (who is also a muse fan) was surprised at how high i can sing.
I asked him if he could go tht high and he said no and i told him that i can get higher, which i honestly can.

But the song i was singing is called Falling Down, it's a nice relaxing song and it's pretty awesome in my opinion.
Pay attention to the high notes, i honestly can reach them. Ok, it doesn't sound as good but i can hit them :P
There is a song which has higher parts and i can reach them too but i'll post them another time, anything more than this at the moment might freak you out :P
